Buff and Shine 1600 is a professional handheld tool designed for cleaning and fluffing wool polishing pads. It helps remove dried polishing compound, paint residue and other contamination that accumulates between the wool fibres during use.

During polishing, wool fibres gradually become compressed and matted with compound. This can reduce the pad’s cutting performance, increase heat and cause uneven distribution of polishing compound. Regular cleaning helps fluff the fibres, maintain consistent pad performance and extend its service life.

The metal cleaning mechanism effectively combs through the wool fibres without unnecessarily tearing them. Its convenient handle provides a secure grip and helps control the applied pressure.

Buff and Shine recommends cleaning wool pads during use with a dedicated spur tool. Screwdrivers and similar tools are not recommended because they can tear the wool fibres and shorten the life of the pad.

Directions for use:

Clean the pad when its fibres become matted or saturated with polishing compound.
Carefully bring the tool into contact with the rotating wool pad without applying excessive pressure.
Clean the pad away from the vehicle to prevent compound residue from reaching the paintwork.
Wear eye protection and keep your hands and loose clothing away from the rotating pad.
After cleaning, allow a damp pad to dry in a clean area with its working surface facing upward.
