Returns and Exchanges Policy

    1. Returning non-defective goods

    Consumers who purchase goods online have the right to notify us of their withdrawal from the sales contract within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason, except where statutory exceptions apply.

    If goods ordered in a single order are delivered separately, this period starts upon receipt of the last item.

    A consumer is an individual purchasing for purposes unrelated to their business or professional activity. Returns and exchanges of non-defective goods purchased for business purposes are subject to a separate agreement.

    2. How to notify us of a return

    Send a clear statement of your decision to withdraw from the contract by email to sales@obamas.lt or by post to UAB “Obamas”, Rudmenos g. 5, LT-52193 Kaunas, Lithuania.

    Please provide your full name, order number or other information identifying the purchase, and the name of the item you wish to return. You do not need to give a reason.

    You may use the withdrawal form at the end of this page, but this is not compulsory. We will acknowledge receipt of an electronic withdrawal notice by email.

    3. Returning the goods and their condition

    After notifying us of your withdrawal, send or hand over the goods to the seller within 14 calendar days. We recommend contacting us beforehand to arrange the return method.

    Pack the goods securely, include all accessories and provide information identifying your order.

    You may inspect and handle the goods to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Opening the packaging does not, by itself, remove your right to return the goods, except where statutory exceptions apply.

    You are responsible for any justified reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary for such inspection. Original packaging is not an absolute condition for accepting a return.

    4. Return costs and refunds

    The consumer pays the cost of returning non-defective goods, unless otherwise agreed or unless the consumer was not properly informed of this obligation before purchasing.

    If you withdraw from the entire contract, we refund the purchase price and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option we offered. Additional costs resulting from your choice of a more expensive delivery option are not refunded.

    We issue refunds within 14 calendar days of receiving your withdrawal notice. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or evidence that you have sent them back, whichever occurs first.

    Refunds are made using the same payment method, unless you expressly agree to another method that does not incur additional costs for you. A discount voucher may replace a monetary refund only with your express agreement.

    5. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

    The right of withdrawal does not apply in cases provided for by law, including:

    • goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, including custom-mixed paints;
    • sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed;
    • goods that, after delivery, become inseparably mixed with other items due to their nature.

    These exceptions do not affect your rights concerning defective goods.

    6. Defective, damaged or incorrectly delivered goods

    Contact sales@obamas.lt, describe the problem and provide proof of purchase and, where possible, photographs.

    Consumers benefit from a two-year legal guarantee and any statutory extensions. A commercial guarantee does not limit these rights.

    Consumers may initially request that defective goods be repaired or replaced free of charge, unless the chosen remedy is impossible or disproportionate. In the circumstances provided for by law, consumers may request a price reduction or termination of the contract. A minor defect does not entitle the consumer to terminate the contract.

    We cover reasonable return costs for defective goods or goods delivered incorrectly.

    If your parcel arrives damaged, we recommend documenting the damage and notifying us as soon as possible. Failure to record the damage in the courier’s documents does not remove your statutory consumer rights.

    7. Exchanges and handling requests

    If you wish to exchange a non-defective item for another variant, please contact us to agree on availability, any price difference and shipping costs. An exchange does not restrict your right to withdraw from a distance contract.

    We provide a reasoned response to a consumer’s written request within 14 calendar days. If no agreement is reached, the consumer may contact the Lithuanian State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (vvtat.lrv.lt) or submit a request through the Consumer Rights Information System (VTIS).
