Buff and Shine DA EdgeGuard YELLOW 125 mm Polishing Foam Pad is a professional yellow foam pad designed for polishing painted vehicle surfaces, restoring gloss and removing light defects.

This Buff and Shine EdgeGuard™ series pad belongs to the polishing category and is the standard yellow polishing pad in this range. It is designed for work where light swirls, surface haze, oxidation, fine polishing marks or other minor defects on painted surfaces need to be removed.

The yellow foam structure is softer, making the pad suitable for general polishing work and surface refining after stronger correction stages. It helps restore paint depth, clarity and a brighter gloss without providing an overly aggressive cutting effect.

The pad works best with finishing polishing compounds, milder polishes or cleaner wax type products when a clean, glossy and visually neat result is required. It can be used as an intermediate or finishing stage depending on surface condition, clear coat hardness and the selected polishing compound.

Buff and Shine DA EdgeGuard pad is designed for use with orbital / DA and Gear Driven polishing machines. The manufacturer states that the pad is suitable for 8 mm, 15 mm and 21 mm orbit machines. The 5" hook and loop diameter is intended for use with a 125 mm backing plate, while the working face diameter is larger – approximately 6".

Use:

Choose a suitable 125 mm backing plate and attach the Buff and Shine DA EdgeGuard YELLOW polishing foam pad so that it is centred. Apply a small amount of the selected polishing compound or cleaner wax product to a clean pad. Polish small sections using the correct speed, pressure and movement according to the surface condition and product recommendations.

During work, clean the pad regularly with compressed air, a vacuum cleaner or a dedicated pad cleaning tool. A clean pad works more consistently, clogs less and helps achieve a better finish.

Note:

Before use on sensitive, very soft, repainted or unfamiliar surfaces, it is recommended to test on a less visible area. The final result depends on the clear coat type, polishing compound, machine, orbit size, pressure, speed and working technique.
