Goldcar ALU Aluminium Putty 1.5 kg

Goldcar ALU is a two-component polyester filling putty with aluminium particles, designed for body repair and surface preparation work. Aluminium particles provide the putty with increased mechanical resistance, better stability and make it suitable for areas where stronger filling is required compared to standard universal putty.

This putty is used for filling larger and smaller uneven areas, dents, damage, welding zones and deformed body areas. Putty with aluminium particles is often used on metal panels exposed to vibration, loads or temperature changes.

Goldcar ALU is suitable for properly prepared steel, metal, aluminium, galvanized steel and fibreglass / laminate surfaces, provided the surface is clean, dry, degreased and abraded.

Thanks to its filling properties, Goldcar ALU can be used for building a thicker layer, but deeper uneven areas should still be filled in several thinner layers rather than one very thick layer. After curing, the putty is dry sanded and, if needed, can be additionally covered with a finer finishing putty before priming or final surface levelling.

The product is suitable for car repair workshops, body repair shops, paint preparation areas and technicians who need a strong filling putty for metal surfaces. It is a practical choice for sills, wings, doors, bonnets, welding areas, repaired metal parts and surfaces where increased resistance is required.

Before use, the putty must be mixed with BPO hardener according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. For this type of polyester putty, a typical ratio is around 100 parts putty to 2 parts hardener by weight, but the exact product label or technical data sheet should always be followed. Correct hardener dosage helps avoid curing, adhesion and later paint defects.

Use recommendations:

Clean, degrease and abrade the surface.
Remove rust, loose coatings, silicone, wax and grease.
Use only on a dry and properly prepared surface.
Mix the putty thoroughly with BPO hardener according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Apply with a spreader in a thin or medium layer according to the repair needs.
Fill deeper uneven areas in several layers.
After curing, dry sand, starting with a coarser abrasive and finishing with a finer one.
Before priming, use a finer smoothing putty if needed.
Do not apply directly on reactive primers, 1K acrylic or nitrocellulose products unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer.
