MALCO EPIC Purple Foamed Wool Heavy Duty Polishing Pad

MALCO EPIC Purple Foamed Wool Heavy Duty polishing pad is a professional purple foamed wool pad designed for stronger paint defect removal and use with DA / orbital polishers.

This pad belongs to the MALCO EPIC polishing system and is intended for jobs where higher cutting performance is needed. The foamed wool construction helps combine the cutting power of wool with more stable and comfortable work, making the pad suitable for more intensive paint correction.

MALCO EPIC Purple Foamed Wool Heavy Duty is especially suitable for harder clear coats where a softer foam pad may not cut enough. The pad can be used to remove sanding marks, deeper scratches, oxidation, surface dullness, polishing defects and other paint surface imperfections.

The manufacturer states that this pad is designed for use with EPIC Heavy Duty Compound. This combination is suitable for a more aggressive polishing stage when the goal is to remove defects faster before moving to medium or finishing polishing.

The pad has a hook & loop attachment, so it can be easily mounted on a compatible backing plate. The size should be selected according to the polishing machine, backing plate and work area.

Use:

Choose the correct pad size according to the polishing machine, backing plate and work area. The smaller 3" size is suitable for local work and hard-to-reach areas, while 5.25" and 6.25" sizes are convenient for larger body panels.

Before use, apply a small amount of polishing compound to the pad surface. MALCO recommends using this pad with EPIC Heavy Duty Compound when stronger defect removal is needed.

Polish while controlling pressure, speed and pad position on the surface. During work, clean the pad regularly with compressed air, a dedicated pad cleaning tool or another suitable method to maintain stable cutting performance and prevent excess compound build-up.

After use, clean the pad from compound residue and allow it to dry naturally. Store in a clean, dry place so the wool surface does not become compressed and lose efficiency.

Note:

Before use on sensitive, soft, repainted or unfamiliar surfaces, it is recommended to test on a less visible area. Since this is a stronger cutting pad, an additional medium or finishing polishing stage may be needed afterwards to achieve maximum gloss and a clean finish.
