QRS Plastic Primer 1K Adhesion Promoter for Plastic 1 L

QRS Plastic Primer is a professional one-component 1K adhesion promoter designed to prepare plastic parts for subsequent priming and painting.

The product improves the adhesion of the paint system to plastic surfaces and reduces the risk of coating delamination. It provides excellent adhesion to various types of plastic, including difficult-to-paint polyethylene PE and polypropylene PP.

QRS Plastic Primer is suitable for both spot repairs and larger repairs of automotive plastic parts. It can be used to prepare bumpers, spoilers, trim components, mirror housings and other paintable plastic parts.

The primer is transparent and ready to use, requiring no dilution. Apply one very thin coat with a recommended thickness of 5–10 μm. Apply the subsequent primer coat after at least 10 minutes but no later than 30 minutes.

Surface preparation:

The surface must be clean, dry and thoroughly degreased. According to the QRS technical data sheet, the surface must be thoroughly cleaned with SC100 cleaner before applying Plastic Primer.

Application:

Mix the product thoroughly before use. Apply using a conventional spray gun equipped with a 1.2–1.3 mm nozzle. Spray one thin and even coat with a recommended thickness of 5–10 μm.

Allow to flash off for 10–30 minutes at 20°C. Apply the subsequent primer coat no earlier than after 10 minutes and no later than after 30 minutes.

Important:

• Do not apply in a thick coat.

• Observe the recommended 10–30-minute application interval.

• Check compatibility with the specific plastic and paint system before use.

• Use in a well-ventilated area and wear suitable personal protective equipment.
