RUPES D-A Coarse Wool Polishing Pad

RUPES D-A Coarse Wool Polishing Pad is a professional heavy-cut wool polishing pad designed for use with D-A random orbital and gear-driven polishing machines.

This new-generation RUPES D-A Coarse Wool pad is created for intensive paint correction when stronger clear coat defects, oxidation, scratches, sanding marks, surface damage and other visible imperfections need to be removed quickly and efficiently.

The new white wool surface is designed for longer service life. It is more resistant to early wear and helps maintain cutting power for longer, even after multiple polishing cycles. This is especially important in professional work where the pad is used frequently and must remain effective for longer.

RUPES has also updated the foam interface. Instead of the previous polyurethane foam, the new version uses a polyester foam interface with improved flexibility, heat resistance and durability. The interface height has been reduced by 50%, giving the pad a more direct cutting feel, better stability and more precise control during work.

Thanks to these updates, the RUPES D-A Coarse Wool pad is more durable, easier to control and more forgiving during intensive polishing. It is especially suitable for users who need strong defect removal, stable results and longer pad life.

This wool pad is best suited for the first correction stage when the surface has heavier defects. After using it, it is usually recommended to continue with a medium or finishing polishing pad to achieve higher gloss and a cleaner final finish.

Suitable for use with RUPES D-A polishing systems, BigFoot random orbital machines and Mille gear-driven polishers, selecting the correct size according to the backing pad.

Use:

Choose the correct wool pad size according to the backing pad and polishing machine. Before polishing, prime the wool pad evenly with a small amount of heavy-cut polishing compound. Work with a D-A polishing machine using controlled pressure and monitor the surface temperature and result.

During use, clean the wool pad regularly with compressed air or a dedicated pad cleaning tool. This helps reduce clogging from polishing compound and paint residue and helps maintain cutting performance for longer.

After use, clean the wool pad, remove polishing compound residue and leave it to dry naturally.

Note:

This is a heavy-cut wool pad, so it is not intended for final finishing or hologram removal. After the heavy cutting stage, it is usually recommended to use a medium or finishing polishing pad. Before using on sensitive, thin, repainted or unfamiliar surfaces, test on a less visible area.
