RUPES MARINE XC-100 Extra-Cut Compound 1kg is a professional heavy-cut polishing compound designed for gelcoat surface correction, restoration of heavily oxidised boats and sanding mark removal.

XC-100 is a powerful marine polishing compound developed for demanding work where stronger defects, heavy oxidation, surface dullness or P800/P1000 sanding marks need to be removed from gelcoat surfaces. It is especially suitable for boat production, repair, restoration, mould maintenance and professional marine detailing work.

The product can be used on newly applied gelcoat, older oxidised gelcoat surfaces, boats, motorboats, yachts and other marine vessel surfaces. It helps perform the initial correction step quickly and prepares the surface for further polishing stages.

RUPES MARINE XC-100 Extra-Cut Compound is suitable when standard medium-cut or finishing polishing compounds are not strong enough. After using this compound, it is recommended to follow with a finer or finishing polish, such as RUPES Marine Fine Polish, to achieve higher gloss and a cleaner finish.

For best results, use with a suitable heavy-cut polishing pad and polishing machine. The surface must be clean, dry and properly prepared before polishing.

Use:

Before use, the surface must be clean, dry and properly prepared. If the surface has been sanded, make sure the sanding marks match the intended use of the compound. Apply a small amount of RUPES MARINE XC-100 to a suitable cutting pad and polish the surface with even movements. Work in small sections, check the result regularly and do not overheat the surface. After polishing, remove residue with a clean microfiber cloth. For higher gloss and a cleaner finish, follow XC-100 with a finer or finishing polishing compound.

Note:

This is a heavy-cut compound, so before using it on sensitive, unknown or non-standard surfaces, test first on a less visible area. It is not a final protective layer – after polishing, it is recommended to protect the surface with marine protection, wax or sealant.
