  • RUPES Rotary COARSE Blue Polishing Foam Pad is a professional heavy-cut polishing pad designed for use with rotary polishing machines.

This blue RUPES COARSE pad is made for more aggressive correction of painted surfaces when stronger defects, oxidation, sanding marks, surface damage or visible clear coat imperfections need to be removed. It is suitable for automotive paint correction, detailing work, workshops, paint preparation areas and professional polishing.

The pad is made from foam specially designed for rotary polishing. The open-cell structure helps manage heat build-up, which is common when working with a rotary polishing machine. This allows more stable, efficient and controlled polishing.

RUPES Rotary COARSE Blue pad provides strong cutting power, but when used correctly it can still leave a good surface finish, which usually only needs to be refined with a finer polishing compound or finishing pad. It works especially well with RUPES Rotary Coarse polishing compound, but can also be used with other heavy-cut compounds suitable for rotary polishing.

The pad profile helps reduce the risk of accidental backing plate contact with the polished surface. This is important when working on sensitive body areas, edges, curved surfaces or narrower sections.

    Available size options:

75 mm – for smaller areas, narrow spaces, bumpers, pillars, edges and local defects

125 mm – for universal work on medium-sized surfaces, doors, wings, bonnet and boot areas

150 mm – for larger surfaces and faster work on bonnets, roofs, doors, side panels and other large areas

    RUPES technical size equivalents:

75 mm option corresponds closely to RUPES Ø80 mm, code 9.BR90H

125 mm option corresponds closely to RUPES Ø135 mm, code 9.BR150H

150 mm option corresponds closely to RUPES Ø160 mm, code 9.BR180H

    Use:

Choose the correct pad size according to the polishing area and backing pad. Before polishing, prime the pad evenly with a small amount of polishing compound. Work with a rotary polishing machine using controlled pressure and regularly check the surface temperature and result. Do not overload the pad with compound – too much product can reduce cutting efficiency and make work more difficult.

During use, clean the pad regularly with compressed air, a vacuum cleaner or a dedicated pad cleaning tool. After use, wash with warm water and mild soap, rinse well and leave to dry naturally.

    Note:

This is a heavy-cut polishing pad, so before using on sensitive, thin, repainted or unknown surfaces, it is recommended to test on a less visible area. When working with a rotary machine, heat must be controlled and excessive pressure should be avoided, especially on edges and sensitive surfaces.
