RUPES Rotary TWISTED Heavy Cut cutting–polishing wool pad is a professional twisted natural wool pad designed for intensive paint defect removal with rotary polishers.

This RUPES wool pad belongs to the 9.BL Series H range and is designed for jobs requiring high cutting speed, effective defect removal and stable operation with a rotary polisher. It is suitable for stronger paint correction when a standard polishing foam pad or softer pad is not effective enough.

The pad is made from 100% natural lambswool. No synthetic fibres or fillers are used in its construction, so the pad provides natural cutting efficiency and good working stability. The precisely formed 35 mm pile length helps maintain consistent results, flexibility and effective surface correction.

The twisted wool structure is designed for fast defect removal and efficient work with RUPES Coarse Rotary Compound and other compatible aggressive cutting compounds. This combination is suitable for reducing sanding marks, oxidation, deeper scratches, surface dullness, old paint defects and other more visible imperfections.

RUPES TWISTED wool pads are designed to reduce the risk of rotary polishing marks, improve working efficiency and provide smoother operation with less vibration when used with a rotary polisher.

This wool pad is suitable for RUPES LH19E, LH16ES, LH18ENS, LH22N, LH22EN and other compatible rotary polishers. The size should be selected according to the rotary polisher, backing plate and work area.

Size selection available:

180 mm – for use with Ø125 mm backing plate. Suitable for medium-sized areas, local work, wings, door edges and more precise defect removal.

200 mm – for use with Ø150 mm backing plate. Universal size for larger body panels, doors, bonnet, roof and more efficient work over larger areas.

Size selection available

Use:

Choose the correct wool pad size according to the rotary polisher, backing plate and work area. The 180 mm wool pad is used with a Ø125 mm backing plate, 200 mm with a Ø150 mm backing plate, and 230 mm with a Ø165 mm backing plate.

Before use, apply a suitable aggressive cutting compound to the wool pad or surface. RUPES recommends Coarse Rotary Compound for this wool pad when effective defect removal and high cutting speed are required.

Polish while controlling speed, pressure, pad angle and surface temperature. When working with a rotary polisher, avoid excessive pressure and working too long in one area to prevent overheating the painted surface.

During work, clean the wool pad regularly with a dedicated wool pad cleaning tool, compressed air or another suitable method. A clean wool pad cuts better, generates less heat and helps maintain a more stable result.

After use, remove polishing compound residue, clean the wool pad and allow it to dry naturally. Store in a clean, dry place so the wool does not become compressed and lose efficiency.

Note:

This is an aggressive cutting wool polishing pad, so before using it on sensitive, soft, repainted or unfamiliar surfaces, it is recommended to test on a less visible area. After this stage, an additional medium or finishing polishing step is often required to remove possible polishing marks and achieve maximum gloss.
