RUPES WETFINISH micro-abrasive sanding discs P3000 are professional ultra-fine wet sanding discs designed for refining painted surfaces and gelcoat, removing fine defects and preparing the surface before the final polishing stage.

The WETFINISH line is designed for work where very gentle, controlled and stable surface sanding is required. These discs are especially suitable after paint or clear coat defect correction, when the surface needs to be levelled, sanding marks reduced, minor imperfections removed and the surface prepared for faster and cleaner polishing.

The discs feature a 3D pyramid-shaped micro-abrasive structure. As the top layer wears during use, new sharp abrasive particles are exposed, helping to maintain more consistent cutting performance throughout the disc’s working life. This structure helps achieve a more uniform surface result from start to finish.

The flexible backing allows the disc to adapt better to curved, contoured or more sensitive surfaces. This helps improve sanding control, reduce the risk of overly aggressive work and maintain even contact with the surface.

RUPES WETFINISH micro-abrasive discs are optimised for wet use. The spaces between the abrasive structures help remove residues more effectively, reduce clogging and minimise heat build-up during work. This is important when working on clear-coated, painted, sensitive surfaces or surfaces being prepared for final polishing.

These discs are suitable for automotive painting, clear coating, body repair, detailing, yacht / marine and gelcoat surface care. They are used as the final or one of the final sanding stages before polishing, when the aim is to reduce working time and leave the surface properly prepared for gloss restoration.

Use:

Choose the correct disc size according to the sanding machine, backing pad and work area. Ø75 mm is convenient for local defects and smaller areas, Ø125 mm is suitable for universal work, and Ø150 mm is suitable for larger surfaces.

Use RUPES WETFINISH discs with water or according to the manufacturer’s recommendations for wet sanding. Sand with even movements, controlling pressure, speed and working time. Do not overload the surface with excessive pressure.

After sanding, rinse or clean the surface, inspect the result and perform final polishing with a suitable polishing pad and compound. A properly prepared P3000 surface helps restore gloss faster and reduce polishing time.

Note:

Before use on sensitive, thin, soft, repainted or unfamiliar surfaces, it is recommended to test on a less visible area. When working on painted surfaces, always control clear coat thickness, pressure and sanding time. The final result depends on surface condition, tool used, amount of water, pressure, sanding technique and later polishing.
