3M 5911 P1 Prefilters, Pair

3M 5911 P1 are replaceable particulate prefilters designed to provide additional particle protection when using 3M reusable respirator masks. These filters help reduce exposure to dust, mist, fibres, paint aerosol, metal fumes and other particles when used with compatible 3M respirators and accessories.

3M 5911 P1 prefilters are most commonly used together with 3M 6000 Series gas and vapour filters, such as 3M 6055, 6057 or 6059, and are attached using 3M 501 prefilter retainers. This combination allows a gas / vapour filter and additional particulate filtration to be used at the same time, for example in painting, coating, paint preparation, cleaning, industrial or maintenance work.

The P1 class is intended for protection against certain solid and liquid particles in lower-risk environments. It is a practical choice for tasks where additional protection from dust, light mist or aerosol is required, but a higher P2 or P3 filtration class is not needed. The correct filter class should always be selected according to the specific working conditions, safety data sheets and workplace safety requirements.

The prefilters are lightweight, flat and convenient to use with 3M reusable masks. They are easy to install and replace without changing the main gas and vapour filters.

Important: 3M 5911 P1 is a particulate prefilter and does not protect against organic vapours, solvents, acid gases, ammonia or other gaseous chemical substances by itself. If gases or vapours are present in the work environment, suitable 3M gas and vapour filters must be used together with these prefilters and 3M 501 retainers.

Use recommendations:
