3M Finesse-it / Trizact 466LA discs use microreplicated abrasive technology: fine silicon carbide abrasive particles are formed into small pyramids on a stable polyester film backing. This structure helps achieve a more even sanding result and more controlled surface processing.
P3000 grit is suitable for fine defect removal before polishing. The discs can be used for dust nibs, small clear coat runs, paint defects, clear coat unevenness, local scratches or stone chip repair areas. Application:
Attach the 3M 50079 Finesse-it Trizact P3000 32 mm disc to a compatible mini orbital sander or suitable small backing pad. Sand only the defect area using controlled pressure and check the result regularly. Do not overheat the clear coat and do not sand longer than needed. After sanding, clean the surface and polish it with a suitable polishing compound to remove P3000 sanding marks and restore gloss.
